1) Details on creating: The Global Peace Concert (ATL)
The Global Peace Concert (ATL) will be produced be Atlanta, Dr. Martin Luther King's Birthplace. Our goal is to nurture "The Gandhi-King Global Peace Connection" and global peace for our global family. This eventual "World's Biggest Concert" will be produced in 2012 so the Peace Millennium will be substantiated on calendar of the new transformative age. It will be on the weekend of August 28 so that we can have a Special Anniversary Year Observance of Dr. King's world famous speech: "I Have A Dream!" PLEASE help us to convince Bono & Sir Bob Geldof to accept our invitation to Executive Produce: "The Global Peace Concert (ATL)!"

Securing Bono & Geldof's help, we can (in return) help them to WIN the Nobel Peace Prize (they've already been nominated several years in a row)! Bono & Geldof had great international success with the LIVE-8 Concert which delivered ~3 BILLION televised-viewers and a $50 BILLION annual commitment to end poverty in Africa. Help us to honor the EXACT Anniversary date of Dr. King’s world-famous speech: “I Have A Dream” in his birthplace! The Press Conference announcing The Global Peace Academy (ATL) was held in observance of the exact 100th Anniversary Birth-date of the Contemporary Peace Movement and Gandhi’s first ever peace-action (09/11/1906), plus the 50th Anniversary-year of Dr. Martin Luther King’s first ever peace-action… February 21, 1956 [“Dr. King is indicted with other figures in the Montgomery bus boycott”]
Note: We have invited His Holiness, the Dalai Lama to be Honorary Chair of the Global Peace Academy Planning Committee (he recently visited Atlanta; his decision is pending). We ask you to assist us in convincing him in whatever ways you can imagine. We have also invited Mr. Ron Clark and Dr. Marshall Rosenberg to be actual Chair of the committee. Mr. Clark is an award-winning teacher whose methods and programs are established in schools around the world. In 2000 he was named Disney's American Teacher of the Year, he is a New York Times Best Selling author, and his classes have been invited to the White House on three separate occasions to be honored by the President. Dr. Rosenberg is an internationally respected teacher in the field of non-violent communications. He founded the nonprofit training & peacemaking organization called: The Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC). Their decision to assist Atlanta: City of Peace, Inc. with our Global Peace Academy (ATL) project is pending.
GREAT NEWS: We have identified the IDEAL piece of property for the future location of both The Global Peace Academy (ATL) and Global Peace Museum (ATL). FortMcPherson is in south Atlanta and was just decommissioned (this 80-page .pdf city-synopsis may take a while to load). It is a 488-acre military facility and is now viewed as a significant redevelopment opportunity for the entire region. The MPLRA (McPherson Planning Local Redevelopment Authority) was established to lead the reuse planning process. Atlanta: City of Peace, Inc. has invited Mr. Edward Uhlir (of Chicago's Millennium Park fame) to create our visionary master schematic for how Ft. McPherson can be transformed into the new site for these two transformative peace projects (his decision is pending). NOTE: Mr. Uhlir was instrumental in raising ~$500 Million to develop Millennium Park!
In a year or two 'down-the-road' the official US Department of Peace will be established in Washington, DC with a huge new budget (taking ~2% of the US Department of Defense BILLION-dollar budget; or ~$800 MILLION). Peacemakers throughout the nation (and even globally) will want to be educated on developing peace-oriented solutions just as the US Military Academy provides solutions with military endeavors. Therefore, The Global Peace Academy needs to be established in Atlanta: City of Peace. It's an ideal location since Dr. King was born here!
Another point; the University of Peace-Costa Rica campus currently has a 2006-student body made up of ~120 students from ~36 countries. This is very commendable. However, imagine what can happen in an international city like Atlanta: City of Peace?
3) Details on creating: The Global Peace Garden (ATL)
Here's our developing Website for creating the future "World's Biggest Peace Garden": www.GlobalPeaceGarden.org Our press conference announcing this goal was the 160th Anniversary of Thoreau's "Civil Disobedience" that greatly inspired Gandhi & Dr. King). In a few short months the City of Atlanta will be developing her NEW green-space/park; “The City’s Biggest!” Let's honor Mrs. King, one of the world's best known peacemakers. Let’s collectively join together to name our NEW green-space: "The Global Peace Garden" (ATL). Through our developing Website we are inviting any and all internationally respected landscape designers to submit development plans/ideas. Our Atlanta-based international network of Gardens To Promote Peace is in an ideal position to lead this historic peace-initiative (help us to convince them to accept this opportunity to serve). Dr. Laura Dorsey’s nonprofit: “Gardens for Peace” is very inspirational. Note: Millions of people will eventually drink from this. They will drink Peace in a figurative way (thru viewing and/or thinking upon the "Peace Pond") and people will also literally drink from it because the City of Atlanta will use this projected 1.9 BILLION gallon lake/reservoir for drinking water. Over the next several months while all of this takes shape, John Naugle and Johnny D’Farmer have volunteered to collect design ideas from around the world in preparation for creating "The World’s Biggest Peace Garden", and also the "The World’s Biggest Peace Pond". Can YOU assist in any way? Let's envision and plan ahead (into the future) so Atlanta's-Global Peace Garden (this new "Official Garden of Peace") is dedicated and inaugurated during the official signing of the (future) Atlanta-Porbandar Sister City Agreement [Porbandar, India is the birthplace of Gandhi]. The Atlanta: City of Peace nonprofit is VERY committed to convincing Sir Richard Branson (of the $9 Billion-Virgin Group of companies) to launch his Virgin Galactic- "World's 1st Spaceline" from "The World's Biggest Airport" (please assist us to convince him)! Note: This last year Atlanta’s airport had ~100 MILLION visitors (with 1 MILLION flights)! WE offer Sir Branson's historic 2012: Maidenflight of "The World’s 1st Spaceline" the opportunity to eventually carry a courageous global precedent during this special International Decade for a Culture of Peace. Aside from this New Decade we now have, we are also in a New Century, and NEW Millennium! NOW is a great time in the course of human history to make this huge precedent-setting feat of courage which will inspire many generations to come. Here's our developing Website: www.GlobalPeaceTower.org Every great city on Earth has an iconic landmark... except Atlanta: City of Peace. What is your vision for this future globally-respected peace-cultivating architectural structure? Giza, Egypt has the great Pyramids. New York City has the Empire State Building. Paris, France has the Eiffel Tower. Pisa, Italy has the Leaning Tower. St. Louis, Missouri has the Gateway Arch. London, England has the Big Ben Clock Tower, etc. In order for Dr. King’s birthplace to significantly nurture “The Gandhi-King Global Peace Connection” then it is imperative that Atlanta’s future “Global Peace Tower” is record-breaking in every way possible. All major international cities hunger for an architectural icon that will highlight their assets, character, and future potential. Therefore Atlanta’s future Global Peace Tower will inspire peace cultivation, education and inspiration on a world-wide scale and can become Mother Earth's New Millennium Architectural Icon for Peace. This is a global peace pilgrimage supporting the International Decade for a Culture of Peace & Non-Violence (2000-2010). Destination? YOU are invited to visit "The Heart of Atlanta" which is Dr. Martin Luther King's birthplace and beginning. Our goal is to nurture "The Gandhi-King Global Peace Connection" and global peace for our global family. When you complete "The Global Peace Walk (ATL)" please visit our international headquarters (now being identified and planned). This global peace pilgrimage will be ongoing from now and well into the future decades and centuries to come. Year 2008 is a great year to initiate it because it's the 60th and 40th memorial anniversaries of Gandhi's and Dr. King's tragic deaths (help us to properly honor them).
